For the past several decades Boeckh Canada delivered the methodology and data for replacement cost calculations for the Canadian Property Casualty industry. In 2001 Marshall & Swift acquired Boeckh Canada. This acquisition brought about an entire review of the methodologies used in developing replacement cost calculations for property insurance in Canada.
The result of the review was to move to a replacement cost methodology that incorporates a component based valuation. This delivers a more accurate cost - to - build model broadening the overall scope of the application and allowing for a more definitive review of the home, while eliminating much of the subjectivity inherent in the previous methodology.
Compu-Quote has worked closely with Marshall & Swift / Boeckh to develop a new application version of EvaluRater to deliver this next generation residential valuation tool.
