Kingston, MA & Windsor, ON, October 19, 2006
RSMeans Co. Inc. of Kingston, MA, a business unit of Reed Construction Data, and Compu-Quote, Inc. of Windsor, ON, announce that the bi-directional transfer of data is now available between the Means CostWorks Valuator – a web based tool for calculating the current replacement cost of residential properties – and PropertyRater™, Compu-Quote’s comparative habitational underwriting and rating application.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer our CostWorks Valuator to the Canadian insurance market as an integrated component to the Compu-Quote product suite,” said William “Biff” Moriarty, market development manager at RS Means. “Ease of use without compromising on accuracy of valuations has been a principal driver of our product development. Teaming with Compu-Quote adds another critical feature – ease of access for brokers in the Canadian market place,” he added.
“Brokers interest in the CostWorks Valuator is growing,” stated James Nickelo, Compu-Quote’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, “Listening and responding the needs of brokers is paramount to Compu-Quote. We’re very excited about this new integrated offering.”
As a result of this integration, brokers can launch the RS Means valuator from within PropertyRater, complete the valuation in the CostWorks Valuator and seamlessly return the result back to PropertyRater allowing the brokers to process a quote and submit it to their insurance carriers.”
Brokers can preview the RS Means CostWorks Valuator by visiting www.rsmeans.com/mcv and selecting Insurance from the Products listing. Information on the integration with the Compu-Quote PropertyRater application can be obtained by contacting Anthony Prugo at Compu-Quote (800-265-0808, ext. 4474).

| Compu-Quote and CGI Partner to Provide Real Time Point of Sale Verification of Automobile Quotes for the Insurance Market |

| Joint Compu-Quote and CGI Media Release |
October 19, 2004 |

Toronto, Ontario, October 19th, 2004
Compu-Quote and CGI Group Inc. (CGI) announce an agreement to give insurance brokers the ability to order and integrate CGI’s online Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) and AutoPlus claims history reports using the Compu-Quote rating services. This initiative will significantly improve customer service to brokers and streamline the policy binding process.
"Too often a customer is quoted an insurance premium which has to be recalculated as a result of their non-disclosure of claims and convictions information. The CGI/ Compu-Quote partnership provides the Property & Casualty industry with the ability to verify this information in real-time at the point of sale, avoiding unnecessary duplication of effort in the brokers office”, said Wayne Beck, Vice President of Insurance Solutions at CGI. “It makes sense to work with Compu-Quote because they are the major supplier of rating services to the insurance industry across Canada and they are integrated with all the major broker management systems.
“This is a major enhancement to our rating services.” added John Savage, President of Compu-Quote, “We can now access an MVR report as part of the AutoRater service, electronically review it, automatically integrate it, and modify the underwriting and rating – all in real-time. Right at the point of sale, this means less key strokes for the broker, better pre-qualification of the customer for the insurance company, and less hassle for the consumer.” This data is integrated into the broker’s management system, as well as into the insurer’s policy data facilities.”
As well as providing immediate benefit to the clients of both organizations, this agreement opens the door to Compu-Quote and CGI working together to deliver additional point of sale product offerings to the Canadian insurance broker channel. |

| CQ Releases Alberta Auto Reform Update |
 |
| Compu-Quote Media Release |
September 8, 2004 |

 |
|
 |
| |
 |
Compu-Quote announced today that it has begun deployment of the Alberta Reform update to brokers that use the AutoRater rating service. Installations will be phased in over the next three weeks ensuring all clients are ready for the October 1 effective date.
Compu-Quote worked with leading insurance companies in Alberta, including ING, Wawanesa and Dominion of Canada, to ensure compliance with the government regulations and keep in step with the insurance company initiatives. An override capability has been included to accommodate any company specific scenarios that may occur.
“Providing fast, accurate auto insurance quotes manually has never been an easy task,” says James Nickelo, Senior Vice-President, Sales & Business Development with Compu-Quote, “but with the introduction of the grid on October 1 the process will become even more complicated and time consuming. We’re expecting to see some of the brokerages that have stayed with manual quoting start taking a closer look at AutoRater.” |
|
The following features have been included in AutoRater to simplify the quote process under the grid level legislation and ensure accurate results:
- Automatic calculation of the grid level with override ability
- Automatic grid driver assignment with override ability
- Automatic grid level capping with a message indicating the grid cap has been applied
- Grid level and grid level effective date fields by driver
- Automatic assignment of the grid territory with override ability
- Enable/Disable default for the grid level calculation and the grid level driver assignment
- Driver assignment rules applied for the grid only with override ability
- Grid premium cap calculation by vehicle, including the grid level for assigned and unassigned drivers
- Identification of Residual Market Risks
To help ensure a smooth transition Compu-Quote is hosting a series of free seminars in Calgary, Edmonton and over the web. Over 400 brokers and insurance company representatives have registered to participate in these seminars. |

| New Dwelling Forms Released for Alberta |
 |
| Compu-Quote Media Release |
December 12, 2003 |
|
 |
| |
 |
|
 |
| |
 |
PropertyRater clients now have the ability to quote Seasonal Homeowners, Rented Dwellings, Rented Condos and Secondary Homeowners for popular Alberta carriers. Brokers in the province are the first to receive and benefit from the new 'all forms' quote functionality.
The release of the expanded data enabling users to quote the supported dwelling types as primary and secondary locations was contingent on all brokers processing update N.
Alberta is the first province where all rating services clients have downloaded Update N. As soon as the updated carrier data was posted on December 11th, 2004, clients were advised via e-mail to download the updated carrier files from the Rates page of Compu-Quote's newly redesigned web update site - http://updates.compu-quote.com. |
|
Initiated at the request of many of our broker clients, this new and flexible quoting capability was designed to help your brokerage achieve even greater efficiencies.
Over 400 hours of effort were logged by Compu-Quote staff to deliver the expanded underwriting and data for the Alberta carriers. This was in addition to the development effort completed in Update N.
Note: Release of the all forms functionality in other provinces is to follow once all users in these provinces download and process Update N. |
