The FORTUS engine loads and processes the rules created and published using the OpusWorks™ Operating Suite. The input is then processed by executing the defined business rules. The resulting output XML is then sent back to the calling application for further processing as required.

The FORTUS engine, the core component to all Compu-Quote applications, employs a base data model which is customizable to meet special needs of the client. A base data model used for comparative rating data files authored and supported by Compu-Quote is provided to clients.
