Departments

Accounting

Accounting staff are regularly involved in all facets of the insurance industry and communicate with clients from coast-to-coast. Additionally, they administer many of the business arrangements with Compu-Quote industry partners. Co-operative Education Placements may also exist in this department.

Customer Support

As a service focused company, Compu-Quote recognizes the importance of efficiently delivering timely, personal service to our clients. Customer Support Representatives provide 1-800 telephone support service and training to brokers across Canada.

Marketing

Marketing department staff are heavily involved with promoting Compu-Quote in all media forms from design concept through production. The department is also responsible for convention organization, direct mail and many aspects of the sales process. Intern opportunities may also exist in this department.

Sales

The ideal candidate would be responsible for up-selling and servicing our existing clients as well as developing and cultivating new prospective clients across Canada.

Programming

We are extensively involved in the development and support of custom computer software for all sectors of the insurance industry. We employ a wide range of programming languages in a Windows environment including Borland Delphi, Borland C++, Microsoft C++ and Uniface. Co-operative Education Placements may also exist in this department.

Quality Assurance

We support over 750 insurance company plans and our software has the capacity to generate 100 million quote permutations. The Quality Control department is integral in ensuring clients receive the correct underwriting information and rating variables to produce accurate quotes every time. Compu-Quote Careers / Trainer, Broker Sales & Service Division

We are looking for an articulate, energetic and experienced individual to join our team. The Trainer trains and services our Broker clients for the Province of Ontario and must be able to travel. Extensive travel in the Toronto area is required.

Responsibilities Include

  • Providing training for all broker products including: AutoRater, PropertyRater, ezITV, Sales Focused Broker, ezLeads plus and any other products that are developed by Compu-Quote Inc for use by broker clients.
  • Develop and execute a regular service call cycle to all clients and report results on an established basis.
  • Ensure that the existing reputation for excellent client support is maintained.
  • Complete the appropriate documentation for all purchases, training surveys, etc. as required.
  • Prepare articles and rating services tips and tricks for our news letter which is e-mailed to clients 4 times a year.
  • Assist in the development of training modules, supporting documentation and accreditation through RIBO.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years knowledge and experience in the insurance industry or as a Broker/Agent in Personal Lines.
  • Candidate must be open to extensive traveling as this position will require being out of office a minimum of 2 to 3 days a week and visiting 4-5 clients per week.
  • The ability to form and maintain positive relationships is essential to the success of the company.
  • Proven ability to analyze and deal with any challenging situation in the most expedient manner.
  • Aptitude to identify potential growth areas.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively as a team.
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft™ Outlook, Word, Excel.

IT Supervisor

You would be required to:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate work of Systems Support and Windows System Administrator staff.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching on technical skill and career development.
  • Apply ITIL best practices to define and implement effective IT Service Desk workflows.
  • Analyze IT Service Desk incidents and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service with the goal of preventing future problems.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of IT Incident Management and Service Delivery.
  • Plan and implement comprehensive backup strategies, including virtual machines, servers and clients.
